Literacy: Monkey Puzzle: Draw your favourite character
I can describe the main characters I am beginning to use longer sentences to link my ideas I am listening to and using new words to describe the animals in the Monkey Puzzle story. We have been listening to the story called “Monkey Puzzle”. Can you remember what the story is about? Listen very carefully to the story read by Miss Brenda and then we will answer some questions about the story.
Who is your favourite character? We are going to draw it! I like the monkey because he is funny and cute. I like the butterfly because he is kind and colourful. Can you tell me something about the animal... “The ….is….and....”, (is big, small, colourful). Remember to use 'and' and 'because' to make your ideas longer. Challenge: Can you try to trace over the letters of your name or write some of them? Practise this everyday! |
Optional Fun Activity: Building Tall towers
Have a construction building competition (tall towers). Today’s activity is all about building. So you know the name of the tallest building in the world? It’s Burj Khalifa in Dubai! Do you think you can build a tall building? What will you use? Have a competition with someone in your house and see whose building is the tallest. Can you count how many blocks you used? |

Dear Parents ,
We have listened to what you have said.
We know that some families need structure and some families need flexibility. Depending on your circumstances here is a timetable you might choose to follow. We have tried to have snack and lunch at the same time as other year groups so you can socialise as a family together.
Enjoy your learning 🙂
