Welcome to our online learning FS1 Parents!
Although school is not open, we are still providing learning for our children. Your child's education is very important and we encourage all parents to complete the provided activities at home.
You are able to send evidence; photos and videos via Class Dojo on the 'Portfolio' section or through private message to your child's class teacher. They will be able to provide feedback on the work sent on the portfolio section.
Please see the attached powerpoint for today, this will directly link to the FS1 Home Learning pack or attached files.
We have provided 1 x Literacy activity, 1 x Maths activity, 1 x story time (this has been recorded by one of the Foundation Stage teachers for your child to watch).
We have also set educational games on Education City for the children to complete, they can complete 1 game per day.
Continue to support your child at home with stories, asking questions and developing understanding throughout.
Children can continue to complete activities from the '26 things to do after you are 3' book, print pictures of activities, write about them and when your child returns to school they can share all the fun things they have done with their children.
Your class teacher will be available to support your child at home via Class Dojo - you can contact them between the hours of 7:30am -3:00pm. If you message outside of these times, they will reply the following day.

Literacy: Day 1 (22.3.20)
|
This week, we can be looking at life-cycles and planting. We can read the story, 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' and question the children throughout to develop their understanding.
Can the children answer simple questions such as: Who is in the story? What does our character look like at the start? What happens to the egg? Why did the caterpillar eat the food? What did he eat on....? Is this healthy or unhealthy food? What will happen if we eat this type of food? What did he do when he ate all the food? How long did he stay in the cocoon? What happened next? What was your favourite part of the story? |
Maths:
Today, we can practise our counting skills and the concept of 'same' and 'different'. The children will be counting out and reciting numbers 1-10. The children can then count using 1:1 correspondence, touching each object as they say the number.
Today the children can use fingerpaint, colour pencils or printing to add spots to our hungry caterpillar. |
Day 1 - Sunday
|
Activity: We are making saltdough hungry caterpillars with the teacher.
Literacy: Tracing simple patterns, Maths: Finger painting our caterpillars, counting with 1:1 correspondence. |
